Intercultural Respect at the Eastside Flea

We at the Eastside Flea celebrate cultural and artistic expression and strive to create an environment that nurtures the growth and development of the local economy.  We are privileged to operate our space on the unceded ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Skxwú7mesh-ulh, & Tsleil-Waututh nations.  We are grateful to and honor the traditional peoples of this land and honor the many cultures that share it.

We have made a commitment to our vendors and patrons to ensure that the Eastside Flea and Eastside Studios are welcoming and respectful spaces.

We commonly receive applications from vendors hoping to sell goods traditionally used in sacred practices or that have deep significance to specific cultures (ie. dream catchers, sage, etc.).  For folks who identify with the culture we welcome these goods, and for those who are more so inspired by the culture we would like to understand more about your process, the origin of the goods and overall intention.  We ultimately want to ensure that our process of approving vendor applications is mindful and respectful.

Information on your process can be provided in the ‘What do you Plan to Sell’ box of your application, or via email info@eastsideflea.com

Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our creative spaces inclusive!
